Locum Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (12 months FTC)
There is an opportunity to join our progressive Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) team at a time of exciting changes, involving new appointments and the expansion of services. This is currently offered as a locum appointment for up to twelve months.
The department provides a comprehensive clinical service, with sub-specialisation, to local residents of North London. The department currently runs dedicated clinics at Barnet, Chase Farm and Edgware Community Hospitals. As part of trust changes, the team are now integrating the Royal Free Hospital into this service.
Applicants are expected to be able to manage busy adult and paediatric outpatient and operating lists. The post requires strong team working, both at consultant level and with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Clinical sessions for this post are based at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. There is some flexibility to discuss the job plan further.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
