Junior Clinical Teaching Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals

As a Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) you will undertake teaching duties linked to UCL Medical School (mainly at the Barnet and Chase Farm sites).
University College London (UCL) Medical School has an annual intake of 330 students and accepts an additional 55 Oxbridge students for clinical training. The Barnet campus provides clinical training for approximately 380 students annually in years 4, 5 and 6. UCLMS is ranked 4th in many league tables of UK medical schools and recently was rated first amongst London medical school for student experience. Barnet Medical Education Centre recently won an excellence in Medical Education Award from UCL in recognition of the excellent support provided to students and teachers there.
The Royal Free London (RFL) is a high performing NHS Foundation Trust with principal sites at the Royal Free in Hampstead, Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital. It is the Trusts’ objective to be world class in teaching as well as in clinical services and research. Excellence in teaching has both reputational and financial benefits as well as contractual commitments.
The main teaching duties of the post holder are to support the delivery of high quality medical education including the development, delivery and evaluation of courses in undergraduate medical education. There will be an opportunity for undertaking a research interest in education.
In addition the post holder will have clinical duties which include being on the on call rota at a level commensurate with experience. It is expected that the post holder will either be a trainee looking for out of programme experience or be applying for a training programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Clinical experience in the speciality (minimum 6 months) is essential.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
