We are very pleased to offer the appointment of a Locum Consultant Physician with a special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Royal Free London Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is based at Chase Farm Hospital and includes participation on the Barnet Hospital Acute Medical Rota. This job offers an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join a committed team of consultants in this well-developed service, pending appointment of a substantive post.

The appointee will join a team of six consultant Endocrinologists delivering inpatient and outpatient care in Diabetes & Endocrinology at Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals. At both Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital, an insulin pump (CSII) service has been established; there are transition clinics in Diabetes at Barnet, Edgware and Chase Farm Hospital. There is a multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Team for both inpatients and outpatients. The appointee will also have a weekly Endocrinology clinic at Chase Farm Hospital and participate in the Acute Medical Rota at Barnet Hospital. The appointee will join 5 other Endocrinology consultants to join the “Endocrinology on the Wards” inpatient and liaison service at Barnet Hospital.

Applicants for the post should have a CCT or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview.
