Fixed Term/Secondment – 1 Year
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our busy medical workforce team.
You will primarily focus on facilitating rotations for junior doctors in training, and will be responsible for particular specialties. The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust employs around 1500 doctors, and is additionally the lead employer for approximately 900 GP trainees across northwest, northeast and central London.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Identifying and processing starters and leavers
- Pre-employment Checks (using TRAC)
- Issuing contracts
- Advising trainees on terms and conditions, particularly in regards to pay
- Liaison with Health Education England, the Medical Education department, Payroll department and host trusts and practices
- Records Management (ESR - HR System/Personnel Files)
This role will require the deployment of great organisational, customer service and communication skills, attention to detail and knowledge of word-processing and other computerised systems, including databases and spreadsheets.
This role would be a good development opportunity for anyone with a foundation of experience in recruitment, HR administration or payroll. Or for someone with transferable skills who has a keen interest in working in this sector and are eager to learn. We encourage you to demonstrate this in your supporting information.
The post is based at our HR offices in Enfield Town; there will be a moderate amount of field work attending one of our three main hospital sites in Hampstead, Enfield or Barnet for induction and ID checks.
The core working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. However you may also be required to work from 8am on induction days, and occasional evenings or weekends during busy periods. There may also be a possibility of rotating to the general and nursing recruitment teams depending on activity.
