Fixed Term / Secondment - May 2020
The Employee Relations department have an exciting vacancy for a ER Specialist to join our team to cover a maternity leave from may 19 - may 20.
Based at our offices in Enfield, you will be aligned to support Chase Farm Hospital, surgery and Associated Services and therapies. You will line manage a ER advisor and the key aspects of your role will be fostering positive relationships with the senior management of the Divisions you own. You will be responsible for managing all employee relations cases, and manage your ER advisor while fostering learning.
You will work collaboratively with your HR Business Partner and Associated Business Partner and other HR colleagues in shaping solutions and delivering people initiatives.
You will support the effective delivery of a high quality and professional Human Resources service providing focused challenge, advice and guidance to managers in the Trust and ensure effective implementation of, and compliance with, all workforce policies, procedures, workforce practices and standards.
You will oversee all stages of ER processes, including advising and supporting managers with disciplinary matters, appeal panels and attendance at Employment Tribunals as required.
You will also be expected to confidently and effectively communicate with Trade Union representatives, senior managers and clinicians regarding organisational developments and changes. You will have a strong background in ER but NHS experience is not essential, more important is your drive and enthusiasm with an ability to apply your ER knowledge and experience to an NHS setting.
The ideal candidate will also hold a degree and be fully CIPD qualified or have equivalent industry experience. You will have the ability to interpret complex information and formulate policies, utilise workforce analytics to optimise decisions and have proven experience of leading and developing a team. You should also have the ability to travel when required, as you will be covering different sites.
