2 full time posts have become vacant at the North London Breast Screening Service. This is an opportunity to work in one of the largest units in England where you can make a worthwhile contribution in a warm and friendly environment.

This very busy service offers the opportunity to work in both static and mobile screening sites and assessment clinics on a rotational basis.

The three static sites are at Edgware Community Hospital, Finchley Memorial Hospital and Forest Primary Health Care Centre and the area covered includes Barnet, Brent, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, and part of Hertfordshire. There will also be the opportunity to work Cross site (CELBSS).

This post necessitates travel across this area and therefore the use of a car and a current driving licence is essential. All the static and mobile units are completely digital.

All applicants must hold The Foundation Degree in Breast Imaging or equivalent

The post will combine taking mammograms and assisting during special procedures in assessment clinics, in addition to helping with other breast screening processes as necessary

Post qualification experience in mammography and assessment is essential. However, it is desirable that the candidate should have some experience of working with in the NHSBSP

The unit actively encourages CPD and you will participate in audit which is undertaken routinely.

Due to the sensitive nature of this post, only female applicants can be considered, this is in line with the defined exceptions in the Equality Act 2010, known as Genuine Occupational Requirements (GOQ).
