Therapy services are looking for a Band 8a Clinical Specialist to look at the transformative potential of extending the role of AHP’s in Acute and Emergency Care services at Barnet Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced therapist in A&E to lead on review, service improvement and implementation of a new enhanced therapy pathway within the ED inclusive of extended scope practice, while working collaboratively with the Clinical Lead, senior clinical ED staff and strategic bodies. Alongside the Clinical Lead for this team you will lead a multi-professional team at the Barnet site of the Royal Free London to develop discharge processes across front end services. The team includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics and Therapy Support Workers for this specialty area.

The successful candidate will have experience of service reviews and audit, and implementation of service development within emergency and acute medicine. They must demonstrate evidence of supporting change and will have excellent communication skills and plenty of initiative. They will also have experience of clinical supervision and line management.

It is expected that applicants are able to work under pressure and manage their time effectively.
